It's Box season! Box lacrosse is an exciting and fast-paced game similar to hockey or basketball in that it stresses the pick and roll game, transition and 'in-tight’ stick work and shooting. It can provide a nice break from the field game while still working to improve your game in a different environment.
Box is played in a roller rink with hockey-style goals and goalie equipment and all other players in field lacrosse gear worn with athletic shoes instead of cleats. Six players per team play in end-to-end action!
The game is best for players who want to improve their stick skills, love a fast game and don't mind a little hockey-style contact. It’s a lot of fun but not always a good fit for beginners.
Beach Cities Lacrosse plans to field Boys teams in Youth (Grades 5/6), Middle School (Grades 7/8) and High School (JV and Varsity) divisions. If enough players in a given age group do not register and that team can not be formed, we may contact you about combining with another age group or you'll be given a full refund.
