Our program's goal is for kids to play lacrosse! We strive to make playing time as balanced as possible to ensure player development and team improvement. Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible within the division they will compete in, recognizing that it's fair - and more fun - when teams of equal ability play.

BCYL Registration: Please do not wait to register! Roster spots are limited and will be honored on a first come basis! Payment is required for your player’s registration to be completed. Should there be any previous outstanding balance on your account, it also must be paid in full before registration in current season can be completed. Once an age group's team roster is full, subsequent registrants go on a wait-list until there are enough to form a second team, and so on from there.

What do registration fees pay for? BCYL is a non-profit. Fees are calculated using the hard costs we incur to run teams. Your fees help pay for team registration/league fees, field rentals, coaches pay, equipment and administrative costs (web site, insurance, banking fees.) Other than the stipends paid to our professional coaches, other Board Members and Parent Coaches are volunteers.

BCYL Refund Policy: Considerable planning and financial commitment goes into each season. Coaches must be hired, fields rented, uniforms ordered and teams registered to compete in a league. To keep costs as low as possible, we make many arrangements in advance and must ask participants to share in this commitment.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing by sending an email to Michelle Pryor at mmpad7@gmail.com. A $25 processing fee will be deducted from the fees of each player/registration refunded. Refunds are processed after registration for season has closed and are mailed in the form of a check. NOTE: Uniform cost is not refundable.

Refunds of fees:
Before first practice: 100% refund less $25 processing fee
Before first game: 50% refund less $25 processing fee
After first game has begun: No refund

Request for refunds due to injury/illness are granted on a case-by-case basis. After the first game, any refund issued will be in the form of a BCYL credit toward future season fees.

Fall 2022: Boys BOX Lacrosse Season

It's Box season! Box lacrosse is an exciting and fast-paced game similar to hockey or basketball in that it stresses the pick and roll game, transition and 'in-tight’ stick work and shooting. It can provide a nice break from the field game while still working to improve your game in a different environment.

Box is played in a roller rink with hockey-style goals and goalie equipment and all other players in field lacrosse gear worn with athletic shoes instead of cleats. Six players per team play in end-to-end action!

The game is best for players who want to improve their stick skills, love a fast game and don't mind a little hockey-style contact. It’s a lot of fun but not always a good fit for beginners.

Beach Cities Lacrosse plans to field Boys teams in Youth (Grades 5/6), Middle School (Grades 7/8) and High School (JV and Varsity) divisions. If enough players in a given age group do not register and that team can not be formed, we may contact you about combining with another age group or you'll be given a full refund.

Any questions, please contact John Gabriel at johngabrielcoaching@gmail.com

Two practices per week beginning week of August 15 at roller hockey rink in Heartwell Park, LB. Schedule to come.

Games in the Southern California Box Lacrosse League (SCBLL) will be played on weekends (doubleheaders possible) from September 10 to October 23. Guaranteed 6 games plus 1-2 playoff games!*

HS divisions will play on Saturdays. Youth and Middle School divisions will play on Sundays.

Game Rink Locations: Victory Athletic Center, Irvine Rinks, Corona Inline.

*Because box lacrosse rosters are smaller, it's important that all players try to attend all (or nearly all) of the games.

All players must be USBOXLA members in order to participate. Obtain your USBOXLA membership by visiting www.usboxla.com (SCBLL will ask for your USBOXLA number a week or two before games begin.)

High School players who played in Summer'22 Tournaments will have a new BEACH jersey and need to select the matching "Shorts Only" option and size during registration. All other players should order the 2-pc uniform.

Season Fees:
$405 due at time of registration.

Please see BCYL refund policy.
